Although its connection with the park was no longer apparent, Healey's caretaker's cottage survived for many years as a private home. But in 2006 it was gutted by fire. The cottage stood for one last season before being demolished with the increasingly-contorted bathhouse.

 

Today the breached dam and the heavy pipe frame of a swing set overrun by brush are the only reminders that hard-earned good times were had here.
